Chickpea and Butterbean Hummus

Who doesn’t love a hummus?! This recipe mixes the classic chickpea with some tasty butterbeans to create a delicious snack!

We love a hummus in our house and I go through phases of making various types! At the moment it is chickpea and butterbean, mainly because I wanted to make a big batch and didn’t have enough chickpeas! Turns out it still tastes great and is a great healthy snack too!

Makes a large bowl


  • 1 can Chickpeas
  • 1 can Butterbeans
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 2 Lemons (juiced)
  • 150ml Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Optional: 2 tbsp Sesame Oil


Add all the ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth! Add more oil if it looks too dry.

Enjoy as part of a Buddha bowl, with crudités or crisps for a tasty snack!
