😁SMILE, WOBBLE, FLOW - IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER😁 Smile, wobble, flow. It's nearly Christmas, we are all feeling a little all over the shop with either giddy excitement, exhaustion or hangovers. Don't expect perfection, just enjoy the ride in this delightfully festive month 🎄 I'm on a very reduced timetable this week as it is Max's birthday this Thursday and so I'm taking time to be with him 💜 You can however find me @hotlotusuk this Friday at 1pm and also Sunday 5.15pm where we can all smile, wobble and flow together 💕 **PLEASE NOTE Sunday's Hot Flow is an hour earlier than usual because we are off for work Christmas celebrations straight after!**🥂 Take a minute to smile right now. Even if you force it. It still triggers momentary cheerfulness through the action and effort 😘 #smilewobbleflow #yogaflow #gowiththefloga
😋HEALTH IN A BOWL😋 I was desperately craving veg yesterday lunchtime and so whipped up a tasty assortment of things! I love these kind of meals as it provides so much goodness but also lots of taste and texture 🥑 Eating a variety of foods is so important as it is the best way to get your full range of nutrients naturally. Fats, vitamins, minerals, protein and carbs are included in this tasty bowl 🍜 This one consists of kale in a tahini dressing, roasted squash and tomatoes, toasted seeds, quinoa and hummus, oh and a bit of blue cheese just for good luck 😋 Whilst I'm obviously still munching on tasty mince pies and Christmas cake during this month I'm also making sure I get in that veg and good stuff too! 👇SLOW IT DOWN👇 Slow it down! I am definitely guilty of getting caught up in the Christmas mania but I also try to take time out from it all. Nights in on the sofa or just cooking or reading with a glass of wine are just delightful on these December evenings. Taking time to be with friends or family, taking a walk, a yoga class and not feeling like I need to complete every single task under the sun makes such a difference to my mood 💜 Whilst I am tired from work, I'm also in a far brighter and more cheerful state of mind! I also don't want to run myself into the ground because of attending a thousand Christmas drinks and then being ill and low for Christmas day itself! I've got plenty of time for over drinking and eating in a couple of weeks! 😋🤶 So give yourself the occasional break this December. Rest, stay in in your jammys, watch Xmas movies and have a mulled wine in the comfort of your own home instead! 🌊MAKE RIPPLES🌊 Let's make some ripples before Christmas, or maybe even some waves! Often we just focus on January as as our time to reset and make change. To stir up those waters and move forward with whatever new ideas we have 💡 BUT we don't have to just start things in January. It can often lead to things falling by the wayside quickly or place too much much pressure (and therefore stress) on ourselves. Instead, maybe start to make those little adjustments which will set you up for January. Start making those tiny ripples to gently nudge you in the direction you want to go 💕 January is a great time to feel inspired and for intention setting but by getting those cogs in motion before the new year hits is such a great way to make sure those intentions are here to stay ✨ I'm going to be offering some new services and exicitng packages which I will release more information on soon. ❄️DECEMBER❄️ And so December has finally arrived and it's a delicious frosty (and very cold) morning ☃️ I've had a wonderful weekend, and hope you all have too. Thank you to all the wonderful yogis who made it to my Immune Boosting workshop this Saturday @hotlotusuk I love getting geeky about the body! 🌷CERVICAL SCREENING🌷 I went for my cervical screening yesterday (aka smear test) and just had to pop on here to tell all women out there 25 and up to GO! 😘 I went when I was 25 and did find out I had HPV (a virus which can be a precursor of Pre cancerous cells) it really freaked me out initially but to be honest I am SO happy I went. I have been every year since and the HPV has been lowering each year and who knows, maybe this year it will be gone completely! 🌺 By going I have had the peace of mind that it is being monitored and watched and so if it ever did start heading towards something less fun, I know it would be handled immediately and there would be no danger whatsoever ✨ Yes, it can seem intimidating and awkward but your health and safety is why these screenings are in place and it honestly takes about 1 minute and then it is all over. ❤️ HPV is nothing to be ashamed of or scared of. Our bodies naturally fight it and in can be decreased through the use of condoms. Be sexually aware, be aware of yourself 🙏 If you feel anxious about going. Don't. You will feel so much better when it's over. There is about a second of very mild discomfort and that's it! Don't worry about public hair, whether you showered that morning or anything like that! The nurses do not give a rat's ass if you have had a wax or not, they just want to ensure your health is protected 🌸 So if you haven't booked in for your test. DO. IT. NOW.
